Jake's Journey

November 2006

    11am:
Well, Jake's cousin Christopher is finally here! He was born around 3:30 this morning and was 8lbs 11oz!

    More later!

Edited at 8pm: Just got home from visiting at the hospital all day... He was born at 3:22 am, and was 19 inches long. Both mommy and baby (and daddy too) are doing very well. When I left the hospital he was being passed around between grandparents. Even Jake got to sneek in a little smooch and a hug when we were saying goodbye. It was adorable.

    More pictures to come...

Once again, Jake's supposed to be sleeping. He's been in there about an hour and a half, and all was quiet until about five minutes ago, when he starts knocking on his bedroom door.

I go in and find him standing in the middle of his room COMPLETELY NAKED. He looks up at me with the most innocent expression, and sweetly, sadly says, "mommy, I lost my pants."

How in the world I was able get him dressed, and back into bed without laughing, I'll never know.

    He's such a BOY!

Jake was supposed to be in bed going to sleep tonight when I hear him hit the floor, hard.

So, I jump up and run in, only to find him getting up from the floor looking a little confused.

    "Jake, what happened?"
"Fell out of my airplane.my nose hurts, my head hurts, makes me angry."
"Yeah, it makes me angry when I get hurt too."
    "Mommy, are you angry?"
    "No sweetie, I'm happy."
"Makes me angry you are happy."

I get the feeling that he's not quite understanding what the word angry means. We'll have to work on that one.

    Halloween

It took about 45 seconds, and one house for Jake to get the hang of trick-or-treating. Once he found that saying "trick-or-treat" would get him candy, there was no stopping the boy.

We spent the early part of the evening at my parent's house (and trick-or-treating their neighborhood). Daddy came home from work early, and Jake got to go out in our neighborhood. Big Fun.

We had a grand total of ZERO kids come to our door. I'm going to be eating tootsie rolls for the rest of my life. Jake doesn't seem to mind though... how could a house full of candy be bad?

    Check out the October pictures!
